We are now looking to recruit a Fisheries Schemes Manager who will manage the fisheries assessment team and be responsible for the lifecycle of fisheries certification projects, from business development, project planning and auditing.
Liaison with a diverse range of clients, stakeholders and the MSC and their accreditation body, Accreditation Services International (ASI), is a critical component of this role. You will manage an established and growing team of scientists and administration staff who comprise the fisheries assessment team. This is a permanent full-time post, based in our Lymington head office (United Kingdom), where the majority of our fisheries team is located. You will report to the Managing Director.
You will receive full training in the standards CUP certifies against and will be expected to become an expert in application of the MSC standards. If you are not yet trained as an auditor, you will undergo training to enable you to lead fisheries audits. Your primary role will be management of the fisheries assessment section of CUP, however you will be expected to join fisheries certification audit teams as time allows, requiring travel to a diverse range of countries. This is an exciting, dynamic role that requires good organisational skills and proven attention to detail, a scientific background, excellent team leading and communication abilities.
