We were pleased to announce in April that the Poole Harbour clam and cockle fishery was certified to the MSC standard. Well, after only a few months, they are now being served in a recently MSC certified fish and chip restaurant, Lakeside Fish and Chips in Poole.

The Poole Harbour Clam and Cockle Fishery has been assessed and certified against the MSC Fisheries Standard for sustainable fishing and has been found to meet the criteria for a well-managed and sustainable fishery. As the Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) and certifier of this fishery, Pesca would like to congratulate them.

Ishihara Marine Products Co. Ltd. has entered its pole-and-line skipjack and albacore tuna fisheries for assessment against the MSC Fisheries Standard. The Ishihara company caught 1,780 metric tonnes of skipjack and albacore tuna in 2016.
